It's a strange time we find ourselves in and we wanted to share with you some of the things we look forward to when everything goes back/forward to a 'new normal'. While our doors are open and we are delivering to your door, there are some things that we look forward to having back.
The importance of the bond we have with our customers has never been as prevalent as it is today. The benefits of micro-conversations have been well penned, and we are so thankful we operate in an industry where this is what we do all day. Our front of house team are some of the most genuinely lovely people around - and that's not just bias! If you have crossed our door more than 3 times, your coffee order will be remembered and repeated back to you with a smile. They know your taste and will make some solid coffee recommendations which you almost always love. Adding to that, is our interest in our customers; we always want to know how the new baby is, how your last trip went, if that meeting went ok but most of all, we want to know how your dog is?!
Our staff get along famously, greeting each other every morning with a hug, passing around massages and pick-me-up treats. We suppose that it's this comradery that trickles out to our customers. It is for this reason that Covid-19 has been particularly difficult. We've had some beautiful staff that have returned home to Spain and France without a proper hug goodbye and that is simply not how we do things. We greatly miss having our regulars come in for their food, coffee and chats. However, we feel blessed that we have those things to miss and look forward to having it all back.
This time has been difficult for everyone in some way, shape, or form - God knows we've struggled. But we are excited for the days that we can fling open our doors and welcome you all back with open arms (metaphorically speaking of course!).
Remember, if you want to have an at home wine, dinner and dessert experience or even a little picnic, you can order here and we will deliver.
Stay safe everyone and we look forward to seeing you again.
PS. I promise you, we still remember your orders!
